University of Londrina – Claude Lefort Laboratory – (CLLAB)

A research laboratory dedicated to the study of Claude Lefort’s thought, affiliated with the Department of Social Sciences at the State University of Londrina, Paraná, Brazil. Its research lines are diverse and encompass studies on:

  1. Lefort’s philosophical and political trajectory and the reception of his ideas in the Brazilian context;
  2. analyses of themes, concepts, and theories present in his work;
  3. analyses of the relationship between political regimes, including processes of transition, reversal, and reinvention;
  4. research on Lefort’s contributions to contemporary debates, particularly concerning the ambiguities and crises of democracy worldwide, ideologies, the far right, populism, authoritarianism, and autocracy;
  5. studies on the relationship between education and democracy from a Lefortian perspective.
