University of Toronto – Iacobucci Centre

The Centre for Italian Canadian Studies has been located within the Department of Italian Studies of the University of Toronto since 1988. In 1995, when funds were contributed by the Italian community through CIDA (Canadian Italian Development Association) and the National Congress of Italian Canadians, the Centre was named in honour of the Supreme Court Justice Frank Iacobucci. The Centre hosts an annual conference and also publishes the annual journal Italian Canadiana. The Centre is creating an archive for the documentation of the Italian experience in Canada.
